Pastor Whitney Scott Owens was saved as a seven year old boy in his family home. After high school he began college at Marietta College where he met the love of his life and future wife Tara; later transferring to The Ohio State University to finish out his undergraduate work. After college he began a career in the global food manufacturing arena which allowed for him and Mrs. Owens to move around the country from the east coast to the south west working in his career. At the age of 33 Pastor Owens gave up his career and enrolled in Bible College as he was sure of his call to preach, earning his bachelor of Ministry. In Bible College he began to work as the Assistant Pastor at the Canal Fulton Baptist Church and upon the retirement of the serving Pastor, he was called and accepted the position of Sr. Pastor in his senior year. Today, he and Mrs. Owens have three boys, Thatcher, Declan and Silas and together they strive to serve the Lord daily in the ministry He has allowed for them.
